Pier Rules
1. Competitors will draw a ticket with three numbers.
2. Fish your first number first.
3. Do not start fishing until the whistle blows.
4. Change numbers after one and a half hours on the whistle.
5. Do not recommence fishing until the whistle blows to avoid accidents.
6. Ticket numbers may be checked.
7. Fish only your number.
8. If you leave the pier keep your ticket in case you wish to return.
9. Do not use the archways or doorways as a toilet.
10. Pendulum or other dangerous forms of casting are not allowed.
11. The position of the lower level of the pier is granted to the club to fish competitions only. Fishing is not permitted at any other time.
12. Access and egress to and from the lower level only via steward in attendance.
13. Only competitors will be allowed on the lower level.
14. The Port of Tyne watchman has the right to terminate the competition due to weather conditions.
15. If competitors have to leave the pier they can fish the event from any position within the permitted boundaries.
16. Competitors will keep their pegs clean at all times. A check will be made after the competition ends.
17. The Port of Tyne accepts no responsibility and bear no liability whatsoever in the use of the lower level of the north pier and it is acceptance of these rules which allows members to fish competitions.
18. Any competitor not observing these rules render themselves to disqualification.
19. Entrance monies will not be returned under any circumstances.
20. The decision of the stewards is final and no dispute will be entered into.
